🗣️Governance, DPO

BoomLand aims to be a true ecosystem-run platform, which comes with delegating the power to pick the next game they want to play, choosing a new seasonal feature, and many other things.

But there are challenges in the world of DAO, as the communities have observed over time. When the developers give up control of the direction too much and too early, and when the DAO community comprises people from various visions and motives, the direction of the entire platform tends to diverge from the original vision that the founding team has.

Such risks are why BoomLand uses the DPO, Decentralized Publishing Organization, and for total transparency, does not use the word "autonomous.”

The advantage of doing governance the DPO way is mainly the distribution of voting power will be directly proportionate to the level of engagement of each community member. This is to guarantee fairness and also the alignment of product directions among those who are active in the BoomLand games and BoomLand platforms.

While empowering the community to take part in the vital decision-making process, the final decision to publish a game or not will take several parties including:

  • Publishing Board - the governing body of the DPO

  • Voter - the $BOOM holders

  • Thought Leaders - holders that are above a high enough BoomPower Tier

The flow of content publishing is going to be as follows:

By staking $BOOM Tokens, users can use their rights to vote and contribute to the decision-making process of the DPO. BoomLand plans to introduce a governance voting system into the platform.

Voting is carried out as follows:

  • The BoomLand team and related parties will initially present the proposals

  • Voting of the parties

  • Once the proposal reaches a consensus, the BoomLand team will go on to implement the proposal accordingly.

Voting rights will be granted to each user directly in proportion to their staked token, giving each user voting power to use on each decision that asks the community. As the project advances, it will integrate additional features to increase the number of decisions the community can vote on while keeping in mind the balance of the ecosystem at all times.
